Staying Safe Online: Digital Data Management for Milliners
Thursday, October 22nd, 11 am – 1 pm (AEDT – useful website for time zone scheduling)
We all know how important it is to be safe online, but with everything else going on right now, it can all seem a bit overwhelming.
Our novice-friendly “Staying Safe Online” workshop will look at some of the ways you can better protect yourself and your data online.
Your tutor Morgana Creely (of Noir Vintage Millinery) first logged onto the internet in the early 1990s, and over the years has seen it grow and integrate itself into our daily lives. She is all too aware of the traps and hazards waiting for us online.
This two-hour workshop will give you the tools and knowledge to better protect yourself and your data online.
– Creating secure passwords
– Ways to spot a fake email (i.e. is that really PayPal?)
– How to protect your social media accounts
– Way you can be tricked into giving out personal information
– And much, much more
Being safe online requires some time and effort, but it’s a lot less intimidating when you have a little knowledge and experience under your hat!
