Store Policies

At millinery hub, we strive to provide you with the best service and products we can. We are a small family-style business and believe in treating people as people, not customers. We’d like to think we’re approachable and we value questions and feedback as it helps us build a more worthwhile experience for all.

Feel free to read through our policies for the ‘fine print’, but in general, we want what you want; our orders on time, a vibrant and sharing community, an inbox not crammed full of useless emails, not to be harassed on the phone by sales and scam calls. So we don’t do things that will counter this like selling or giving away your information.

Shipping

Our mail goes out daily between 3 and 4 pm. Rain, hail, or shine every weekday afternoon we carry parcels up the street to the post office and lodge them. We post most orders the same day as long as we get them before 3 pm.  However, we ask that orders come before noon for that day’s post.

We send most parcels via Australia Post. Below is a guide for shipping times.

If your parcel takes too long to get to you, unfortunately, this isn’t something we are responsible for. As an online shopper, you need to allow enough time for things to go wrong. If you order last minute or need something fast, we will do our best, but that is all we can do. In normal times, Australia Post offers a next Day Guarantee for express post parcels in their express network. If this is breached, then we can pass on a refund on your postage. All other postage times are estimates and should not be taken as anything else.

Please note, severely reduced postage times are expected during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are outside Melbourne, there may be significant delays. Australia Post has temporarily revoked the overnight express guarantee. In our experience, there is no difference between express and standard post while this is the case.

We are quite happy to send orders anywhere you are. Unfortunately, many countries in these areas do not allow Australia Post to send parcels to them. For this reason, we cannot guarantee we can post to your address. However, if you wish to buy from us, there are other options. Please talk to us before placing an order to avoid refunds etc. and to get a quote for shipping.

Returns, Refunds and Exchange

We stand by the quality of our products and usually check them as they are packed. However, sometimes things get past us, or we may ship an item that is not right. If you aren’t happy with any product, we have sent you the wrong item, or it is damaged in transit please contact us, and we will endeavour to remedy the situation.

We may issue a refund or a store credit depending on the circumstances. If it is at our fault/request, we will pay for return postage.

If you change your mind or ordered the wrong product, we may be able to accept unused items back. In this situation, you will be responsible for the return postage, and you will be issued with a store credit to be used on your next purchase.

Your rights in this regard are available at the ACCC website.

If we have sent you the wrong item, we apologise. Occasionally this happens, we are only human. Please get in touch, and we will try to rectify the problem.

If your item arrived damaged, we’re sorry that has happened. Please notify us as soon as you are able. Damaged parcels rarely occur, and we need to determine if the packaging was wrong or if it was the fault of the postal system. We will most likely send you a replacement but may need you to photograph the damage etc. so we can claim it with Australia Post.
