Millinery Product Safety Data – MSDS

Millinery product safety while making your hats is of utmost importance both for you and those around you. There are many products we use in millinery that can be hazardous if used incorrectly or contrary to MSDS. Some are obvious like sharp blades and others are more subtle but have equally devastating consequences.

Dye powder, for example, looks harmless, but most are carcinogens if inhaled. Read more about dye use and safety.

Some products and materials have specific safety concerns and are usually addressed in an MSDS or SDS. These documents contain the information you may need about what is in the product that might be considered hazardous as well as precautions that should be taken and first aid if the exposure occurs.

MSDS - SDS - Materials Safety Data Sheets

You can download any of the following MSDS for products we know are hazardous and some we get questions about. If you are concerned about a product that is not here, you can try googling MSDS or SDS and the product name. Otherwise, get in touch and we will do our best to help.
